Meet Jeff and Jenny. These two are an incredible match, I couldn’t imagine anyone better suited for one another. We started our engagement session at UCSD and that’s where the fun began.
The best part by far was when we decided to try to pull off the “kissy shot”. This is the black and white shot you see below where Jenny is kissing down at Jeff and Jeff is kissing up at Jenny. It turned out super cute but actually getting the shot was another thing.
We needed to find a plain background for the shot and we did but the only thing is that it was right next to a sidewalk with lots of student walking down. This wouldn’t have been a big deal if Jenny didn’t have to kiss the sidewalk and if Jeff didn’t have to kiss the air.
But they did. And so there is Jenny kissing the sidewalk and there I am lying flat on the ground instructing her on kissy faces.
“A little more kissy face…now a little smile, good job, now a little closer to the pavement…”
I had a moment of complete awareness of the situation and couldn’t help but lose myself in laughter.
Adam’s daughter Sierra was my assistant this day and she had the great opportunity to get a picture of her step-mom doing something very strange. (See bottom of this post)
After our sidewalk entertainment we did a couple more shots at UCSD then we went to Torrey Pines to catch the sunset. It was a bit chilly but the sky was perfect. We ended the session with the sun setting and a beautiful walk.
You will notice below there is a scarf that isn’t in the final image. The scarf was to avoid actually kissing the sidewalk but it was ruining the image so Jenny, being the trooper that she is, ditched the scarf. The things you do for love.
